Overwatch, for instance, is maxed at 103; CS:GO is 106. Hopefully, like you say, CP2077 will allow higher than those.JD Woodmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11533235145896724351noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7703856341303488608.post-82462675281462027052018-06-17T19:15:55.945+00:002018-06-17T19:15:55.945+00:00Most video games now allow you to set the FOV to a...Most video games now allow you to set the FOV to a much higher level, although some you need mods to do it (New Vegas, for example). CP2077 will certainly have a high level of FOV customisation to overcome that issue.Adam Whiteheadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11383677312079611311noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7703856341303488608.post-63440778591595058052018-06-17T16:23:21.434+00:002018-06-17T16:23:21.434+00:00That's exactly my problem: FPS pretend to repr...That's exactly my problem: FPS pretend to represent human vision, but greatly restrict the field of vision. IRL, Humans have about a 210 degree field of vision, more than 110 of that in binocular vision. The largest field of vision in a FPS is about 100 degrees (some as little as 60), so less even than human binocular vision, not counting peripheral. It's tunnel vision, but purports to be this immersive, direct experience.

In a FPS game a character can be directly beside you, but unseen due to this effect, where in real life you'd see them in your peripheral vision. 3rd person over the shoulder actually better captures a real field of vision because of that.JD Woodmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11533235145896724351noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7703856341303488608.post-11771519950070580252018-06-17T10:21:52.342+00:002018-06-17T10:21:52.342+00:00JD Woodman, that's fair enough. I find that sense of tunnel vision very disorienting and unpleasant.JD Woodmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11533235145896724351noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7703856341303488608.post-14143788594798356742018-06-14T19:28:15.536+00:002018-06-14T19:28:15.536+00:00I slightly prefer the first person perspective (al...I slightly prefer the first person perspective (ala Deus Ex and Fallout 3) to over the shoulder for these types of games if they involve a lot of shooting. Of course it's hardly a deal breaker either way. I have played and enjoyed numerous games using both styles of control...

In any case, this may be the game that forces me to either buy a PS4 or upgrade my PC. Really looks fantastic. Love cyberpunk game settings in general, and was also a huge fan of the PnP RPG back in the day. Probably my favorite overall take on the genre. If some company I'd never heard of were doing it I'd be excited, but as a follow up to Witcher 3 ..color me enthused.
