The Mythopoeic Society, a group dedicated to the writings or J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Charles Williams and other members of the Inklings, has held its annual awards for works of the mythological and fantastic. Kristin Cashore's debut novel, Graceling, has won the Mythopoeic Prize for Children's Literature, whilst Carol Berg's Lighthouse Duet (a duology) took the prize for adult literature. Acceptance speeches and a full list of winners can be found via their website here. Congratulations to the winners!
Nice. I've both sets of works mentioned as winners in the pile. Athough I am just finishing up Rai-kirah, so perhaps I'll read Cashore. Thanks for these notices.
