Aaron Allston is the author of several of the popular Star Wars X-Wing books, and has worked on other novels in the series. He also works as a game designer. At a recent signing he suffered a heart attack and after being rushed to hospital required quadruple heart-bypass surgery. Fortunately, he recovered but was landed with immense and crippling hospital bills. A charity has been set up for fans to help him out.
