A LIES OF LOCKE LAMORA TV series?

The new Gollancz catalogue reveals some interesting information about Scott Lynch's Gentleman Bastard series.

For the obvious question, the catalogue reveals (on page 47) that the latest hand-in date for The Republic of Thieves (the third book in the series) is at the end of January. If Lynch can hit this date, the book will be published in July. Of course, after almost six years of getting hopes up, I wouldn't be too surprised if this date is not achieved.

More intriguingly, the press info also reveals that The Lies of Locke Lamora has been 'optioned for television'. I can find no information at all about that elsewhere online, which is odd as that kind of news is normally formally announced to the trade magazines before anywhere else.

More news as I get it.

If this is the case, can a TV series of the First Law trilogy be far behind? I live in hope.

A ABERCROMBIE FIRST LAW SERIES WOULD BE THE GREATEST LETS HOPE IT COMES TRUE ONE DAY

but for the lies of lamorra it looks great check out the article in new yorks time..

if this is really true then this is the second adult fantasy book series (first was a song of ice and fire better known as game of thrones in 2011) which made the nearly impossible jump from page to screen
i absolutly love the books from scott lynch both for his great female characters and for the absolute thrilling story he is telling us.
scott lynch is together with george m. and the master of fantasy joe abercrombie (first law etc.) one of my favorite authors in all the world
i hope this is another occasion for all people to reconsider their opinion on the whole fantasy genre,
fantasy is not for children, these book series (i do not talk about childish books like the hobbit) consists of complex and hard materials which are meant for adults.
most people have seen this fact probably the first time by watching the fantasy series game of thrones, i hope this development continues in the future, and i hope one day there will be a series (maybe season 1-3) about ABERCROMBIES FIRST LAW
best regards from germany

Just heard it from Ryan Condal at a showing of the sixth gun pilot at George RR Martins theater in Sant Fe, he is working on a Locke Lamora pilot right now.
