Hal Duncan on Battlestar Galactica
Hal Duncan analyses the thematic problems with the new Battlestar Galactica in a long (long) essay here. It has its flaws - he spells a lot of characters' names wrong and seems to think you cannot watch the show on a 'literal' level - but some of the points are very thought-provoking, particularly the analogy about the Fleet allowing Cylons to settle amongst them would be like Israel letting high-ranking Nazi leaders settle in their country after 1949. Not going to happen. Ever.
