Marvel have revealed that their Ms. Marvel TV series will debut on Disney+ on 8 June.
The series stars Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, a young superhero fan (particularly of Captain Marvel) who gains her own set of powers and sets out to fight crime and bad guys, having to overcome objections from her family in the process. The series also stars Aramis Knight as Red Dagger, Saagar Shaikh as Amir Khan, Zenobia Shroff as Muneeba Khan, Mohan Kapur as Yusuf Khan, Matt Lintz as Bruno and Rish Shah as Kamran.
The six-episode series also acts as setup for the Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels, due in February 2023.
Ms. Marvel will be the second Marvel TV show to air this year, after Moon Knight airs from 30 March to 4 May. She-Hulk will follow in the late summer and Secret Invasion at the end of the year.
Disney has announced a large number of new projects set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as well as unveiling trailers for projects that have wrapped filming. Unusually, most of the focus this time is on television rather than film.
In fact, the MCU movie division merely re-confirmed a project that had already long been known to be in development: Fantastic Four is now officially in the works with Spider-Man director Jon Watts attached to direct, and will move onto that project after wrapping the multiverse-spanning Spider-Man 3, which is due to hit cinemas in December 2021. That puts Fantastic Four (or Fantastic 4 if we can believe the logo) off to 2023 or 2024. They also confirmed the full title for Ant-Man 3, which is now Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and reiterated that Chadwick Boseman will not be replaced as T'Challa for Black Panther II, which is now expected to focus on other characters in Wakanda.
For television, they confirmed release dates for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki, as well as confirming Orphan Black's Tatiana Maslany in the title-role for She-Hulk (and the return of Tim Roth as Abomination from The Incredible Hulk), and formally confirmed Moon Knight's existence (although not Oscar Isaac's participation, as negotiations are reportedly still ongoing). They did confirm a number of new shows, however.
Secret Invasion, aka Nick Fury: The Series will see former SHIELD director Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) teaming up with Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) (both returning from Captain Marvel) to combat a Skrull invasion of Earth.
Ironheart will follow the adventures of a young inventor, Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne), who creates an advanced suit of armour and inadvertently finds herself acclaimed the successor to Iron Man, and the mixed feelings that result from that pressure.
Armor Wars will possibly develop story threads from Ironheart, with some similar tech falling into the wrong hands and James "War Machine" Rhodes (Don Cheadle) stepping up to help save the day.
The Guardians of the Galaxy will be getting a lot of screen time. In addition to the third film, currently due in 2023, James Gunn will write and direct The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, due for Christmas 2022, and a series of shorts called I Am Groot, presumably focusing on that character.

Steinfeld and Renner were caught on camera last week during filming in New York, confirming her long-rumoured involvement.
Hawkeye is one of numerous Marvel Cinematic Universe shows either shooting or in pre-production at Disney+. WandaVision will be the first show to make to air, on 15 January, with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki both wrapping and eyeing a spring-summer 2021 debut. Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel (starring Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan) are in early stages of shooting now, with She-Hulk (reportedly starring Tatiana Maslany) due to start shooting soon. Moon Knight is in pre-production, with reportedly Marvel close to signing Oscar Isaac in the starring role.
Marvel are also reportedly early in development on a Nick Fury series, with Samuel L. Jackson in talks to star.

Newcomer Iman Vellani will play the role of Kamala Khan in the series. The character debuted in the Captain Marvel comic book in 2013 before getting her own series in 2014. The character was well-received and quickly became a mainstay in the Marvel Comics universe, appearing in numerous books as well as leading this year's The Avengers video game.
The plan is to debut the character in her own Disney+ series before graduating her to the MCU movie line. There have been discussions about including her in the story of Captain Marvel 2, which is currently expected to hit cinema screens in 2022. If that is the case, the Ms. Marvel TV series would presumably provide her origin story before having her meet up with Carol Danvers.
Marvel and Disney are currently shooting the first line of TV shows set in the MCU: WandaVision is complete and expected to hit screens in December, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is wrapping shooting and expected to debut in early 2021 and Loki and What If...? should arrive later next year. The second wave consists of Hawkeye, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk, with Tatiana Maslany heading the latter.
