Marvel and Disney are in discussions about developing a limited mini-series focusing on the character of Clint Barton, also known as Hawkeye. Jeremy Renner is in discussions about reprising his role from five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films (including The Avengers: Endgame, due out later this month).
According to reports, the mini-series will air on Disney's new Disney+ streaming service (currently scheduled to launch around September) and will focus on Hawkeye training another skilled archer, Kate Bishop. In the comics continuity, Bishop takes up the role of Hawkeye after Barton gives it up to pursue other goals.
If commissioned, this would be the fourth MCU mini-series. Series focusing on Loki, Vision/Scarlet Witch and Falcon/Winter Soldier are currently in development as well, all with the movie actors reprising their roles. According to reports, some of these series may follow on from the events if The Avengers: Endgame whilst others will be set earlier in the movie continuity.
