Those looking to sample David Wingrove's Chung Kuo series may be interested to know that the Kindle edition of the new first volume, Son of Heaven, is currently available for the knockdown price of £2.99 on Amazon UK. This is quite a bargain.
Son of Heaven is available now as an ebook and special limited edition (pictured above). The regular hardcover will be launched on 1 March. David Wingrove muses on the project here.

Dang! I was ready to pounce all over this, but it's apparently a UK offer only.
$9.99 for US readers. Should probably be considered a deal at that price, but still...
Is the limited truly available? The link says it is unavailable.
They're out of stock. I don't know how many numbers the limited edition was reduced to, so that might be it or there may be a re-stocking.
Adam,
If you go to the Amazon Kindle ebooks site for the USA you'll find SON OF HEAVEN selling at $4.74, which I think is quite competitive - a bargain, in fact!
The limited edition was 250 copies, and last I heard there were some left. Purchase details are on the CHUNG KUO website.
Cheers!
David
PS: I'll be at the SFX weekender on saturday, so anyone who wants to meet up, see me there!
Sorry David... but when I go to my US Amazon account, the Kindle version of Son of Heaven is still listed at $9.99. I just checked.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still going to buy it, but that $4.74 just sounded a lot more economical.
I bought it from the UK Kindle store but I do see it on the US Amazon site for $4.74

Allen,
Well apparently, it's only listed as $4.74 for UK customers who are browsing the US store. ;)
Because as a US customer, I just copy/pasted the url you provided and - you guessed it - still $9.99.
No big deal, I guess. I'm in at $9.99. It's sitting on my Kindle waiting for me to finish what I'm currently reading.
I just bought it. 3 pounds is an excellent price and I;m looking forward to this
Wert, thanks for the advance notice on this title. Just finished reading the Kindle version and thought it to be an entertaining read.
